Why Goat Milk?

While the fat content in cow milk and goat milk are similar, the fat gobules in goat milk are smaller making it easier for your body to digest. Goat milk is lower in lactose than cows milk, many people aren't as lactose intolerant as they have been led to believe, or simply have trouble digesting cows milk and aren't actually allergic to lactose, goat milk is an excellent choice. Most people who are intolerant of cow milk are actually sensitive to one of the proteins found in it, A1 casein, and lack the ability to digest A1. Additionally, cow milk is the number one allergy among children and can persist throughout adulthood. That’s because it contains more than 20 different allergens (including A1 casein) that can cause allergic reactions So what’s the big deal with A1 casein? This protein is highly inflammatory for some people, and inflammation is the root cause of many diseases.A1 casein can contribute to gastrointestinal issues like irritable bowel syndrome, Crohn’s,and colitis — and some less obvious problems, like acne, autoimmune diseases and skin issues like eczema. On the contrary,Milk that contains mostly or exclusively A2 casein produces none of these inflammatory effects. Goat milk contains only A2 casein, making it, protein-wise, the closest milk to human breast milk.

Goat milk also is richer in calcium than cows milk, with an average of 33% of the daily recommended intake vs cows milk's 28%. Goats milk is also higher in medium chain fatty acids, these fatty acids help provide an energy boost that isn't stored as body fat, helps lower cholesterol, and helps many intestinal disorders. Goats milk also helps increase good cholesterol and decrease bad cholesterol. In addition nutrients like iron, magnesium, zinc, selenium, and phosphorous are more readily absorbed and used by the body than cows milk.
